A school built on purpose and community.
Fuqua School’s story is one of transformation, growth, and an unwavering commitment to students.
In the early 1990s, a transformative gift from philanthropist J.B. Fuqua opened a new chapter in our school’s story. The adoption of the Fuqua name reflected more than a new identity. It represented a renewed vision for what the school could become.
Over the years, Fuqua has continued to evolve in response to the changing needs of students and families. Through periods of challenge and renewal, the school community has remained committed to strengthening the student experience, expanding opportunities, and cultivating a culture grounded in respect, integrity, and belonging.
The dedication of students, families, faculty, alumni, and friends has helped shape the school we are today. One defined by its mission: To cultivate character and opportunity through a rigorous education and a nurturing community that prepares students for lives of purpose.

Preparation that extends beyond the classroom and beyond college.
While many Fuqua students choose to pursue college, the value of a Fuqua education is not limited to that path.
Students graduate with the ability to think critically, communicate clearly, manage their time, and take responsibility for their work — skills that translate directly into the workforce, entrepreneurship, military service, and skilled trades.
Through academics, extracurricular involvement, and daily expectations around accountability and character, students develop habits that prepare them to contribute meaningfully in any environment.
